Spring flowers in Gothenburg

Every year when spring comes to Gothenburg is just as fantastic. The light that is created and people begin to walk more calmly and enjoy the city and its vegetation.

As a resident of Gothenburg, I walk or cycle to almost everything. This means that we can often stop and discover that now one flower after another has come out of the ground. We hear the birds chirping and you feel that now there is all the light in front of us, for a whole summer. It gives energy.

Below are some pictures that we took on our walks in the spring sun or on a completely normal weekday, a half clear day like that. but, just as amazing.

Gothenburg city center

The Japanese cherry tree, with its pink leaves, is often the first tree seen in spring. Lovely feeling when that day comes.

The castle forest

As I said, we often walk in the center and discover flowers and trees that burst out. But, it is recommended to visit the Castle Forest. Because there the City of Gothenburg has often planted different spring flowers that shoot out of the ground in different ways.

Botanical Garden

Once you're in Slottskogen, it's easy to also take a trip to the Botanical Garden, which is on the other side of the road that separates the two places.

In the Botanical Garden, there is almost all year round something that blooms, or is decorative.
