We visited La Piccola gondola on a July day. The day was sunny so we sat outside along the facade. We only had a simple lunch, but felt full and satisfied afterwards. It is an Italian-inspired menu, which means that everyone will find something to suit. Nice environment to stay in, in the middle of central Gothenburg, where you can watch people. The famous Saluhallen is located wall to wall. We felt that it took quite a long time before we were allowed to order and for the food to arrive. But, if we had been sitting in the nice pavilion, it certainly wouldn't have happened. We would love to go back again, but mostly to quench our thirst and eat something else.

The entire area around the city center is teeming with restaurants. So, there is a lot to choose from. The area around Saluhallen, has restaurants that have a sense of uniqueness. None of the larger chains are found here, but more genuine pubs with their own character.
