Smögenbryggan
One of Sweden's largest tourist destinations where you can stroll along the kilometer-long jetty and experience the lively boat life, the charming shops, the cozy cafes and the delicious restaurants. Here you can also taste the famous Smögen prawns, which are fresh and delicious.

Ark of the Nordics
A unique facility for endangered animals that is built on the animals' terms. Here you can see over 80 different species from all over the world, such as snow leopards, amur tigers, red pandas and poison dart frogs. You can also learn more about the lives of animals and how you can contribute to their conservation.
Hunnebostrand
One of Bohuslän's oldest coastal communities dating back to the 13th century. Here you can discover the rich history marked by herring fishing and stone carving. You can also visit the interesting stonemasonry museum and see how the masons worked in the past.

Pärlane beach
One of Sweden's finest beaches located on the island of Bohus-Malmön. It is a so-called twin beach with fine-grained sand surrounded by turquoise water in different shades. Here you can sunbathe, swim, play and relax in a paradisiacal environment.
Tjurpannan nature reserve
A nature reserve located in an unprotected location southwest of Havstenssund. Here you can experience the rugged and dramatic landscape with steep rocky beaches and bare outcrops. It is a perfect place for walking, cycling, paddling or just enjoying the view of the sea.
Tanum's petroglyphs
A world heritage site consisting of thousands of petroglyphs from the Bronze Age. The rock carvings show scenes from people's lives and beliefs over 3,000 years ago. The largest pit is Vitlyckehällen where there are around 300 figures and 170 bowl pits.

Southern Bohuslän
The harbor entrance to Åstol, north of Marstrand
- Åstol. Nice little island for an excursion. But, it is limited with activities. You come to Åstol with your own boat or go with west traffic. From central Gothenburg to Åstol, the journey takes about 2.5 hours. The journey goes via Tjörn, Rönnäng and boat the last bit.
- Other day trips islands are Skärholmen, Klädesholmen and Gullholmen with Härrmansö nature reserve.
