The first hotel I want to recommend is Gullmarsstrand hotel & conference, which is beautifully located by the sea in Fiskebäckskil. Here you can experience a spa in harmony with nature, where you can swim in seawater pools, a sauna with a view of the archipelago and enjoy pleasant treatments with organic products. The hotel's concept is to offer a holistic experience for body and soul, where you can also participate in yoga, meditation and lectures. If you want to do something other than relax at the spa, you can explore the charming village of Fiskebäckskil, which has a rich history and culture. You can also take another boat trip Light wedge or Smögen, or rent a bike and discover the beautiful nature around the hotel.
At Gullmarsstrand, you can choose from several different menu packages in the restaurant, which serves delicious food with local ingredients and the delights of the sea. For example, you can try their seafood buffet, which includes lobster, crab, shrimp, mussels and oysters. Or why not their three-course menu, which varies according to season and availability. Whatever you choose, you can enjoy your meal with a fantastic view of the sea and the sunset.

Smögen sea bath
The third hotel I want to recommend is Smögen Hafvsbad, which is located on the picturesque island of Smögen in Bohuslän. Here you can experience a spa with a unique atmosphere, which combines the best of the sea and the land. You can swim in their salty outdoor pool, which is heated all year round, or in their indoor pool, which has a beautiful view of the rocks and the water. You can also relax in their sauna, steam bath or hot tub, or pamper yourself with one of their treatments, which use natural ingredients from the sea, such as algae, salt and mud. The hotel's concept is to offer a place for enjoyment, where you can also participate in activities such as yoga, hiking or fishing.
At Smögen hafvsbad you can eat well in their restaurant, which has a fantastic view of the harbor and the jetty. Here you can taste their signature dish, which is a seafood soup with aioli and garlic bread. You can also choose from other dishes, such as hamburgers, salad or pizza. If you want something sweet for dessert, you can try their homemade ice cream or pie.

Which spa hotel is the best in Bohuslän?
If you want to have a relaxing and wonderful experience in Bohuslän, you can choose from many fantastic spa hotels. There is no one best, but it depends on what you are looking for. Some of the most famous are VANN spa hotel and conference and Tanumstrand in Norra Bohuslän. In Södra Bohuslän it is, among other things Marstrand Sea Hotel and Stenungsbaden Yacht Club.
What should I pack when I travel to my spa stay?
When packing for a spa hotel, don't forget to bring swimwear that you can use in the pool and sauna. It is also good to have comfortable clothes to relax in in the room. If you want to dress up for dinner, bring something fancy too. You don't have to worry about a bathrobe, towel and slippers, because the hotel will provide them for you.
Is there a certain time of the year when you should go to the spa?
You can go to the spa at any time of the year. There is always something to enjoy, whether it is winter or summer. In winter you can warm up in a steam sauna and in summer you can pamper yourself with a foot treatment. Most hotels are open all year round, so you can book when it suits you best.
Is it expensive to book a spa hotel trip?
You can find a spa hotel that fits your budget. There are different prices and packages to choose from. A spa hotel costs from SEK 1,000 per night, which usually includes entrance to the spa department. You can choose between a simple hotel or a luxurious castle with several pools and rooms. It's up to you how much you want to spend on your spa visit!
Summation
These were four different proposals for Spa facilities in Norra Bohuslän. Hope it inspired you to book a spa weekend at one of these facilities. In summary, it can probably be said that Smögen Hafvsbad and Tanumstrand hotels are the best when traveling with children. Medan, Gullmarsstrand Hotel and Conference and VANN hotel and conference are better suited for more adults or older children.
But, if you use the option of only booking hotel nights through hotels.com and then adding spa access to the people who want it. Where instead others in the travel party can do other activities. Then all facilities are probably more than suitable for all travel groups.
