STRAIGHT TRACK TO BOHUSLÄN BY TRAIN

If you wish to travel by train in Bohuslän, that is also possible. Of course, there are trains from most places in Sweden to Gothenburg. But, there are also train tracks from central Gothenburg all the way up to Strömstad. The journey in between takes around 2.5-3 hours and costs just over one hundred Norwegian kroner. It may be the case that some departures take place by bus as means of transport, but otherwise it is generally the train that applies. Landvetter Airport is the main airport for getting to Bohuslän by air. In the main, this happens by traveling to Gothenburg, and then choosing another means of transport there if you wish to travel north to Bohuslän. Swedavia manages Landvetter Airport. Trollhättan Vänersborg Airport

Trollhättan Vänersborg Airport has not been operational for some time. However, since March 2022, operations have been running again. Local vessels in the Gothenburg area

Locally, there are ferries that you can travel with in the area around Gothenburg. Styrsöbolaget are the ones who operate the ships, but it is possible to use Västtrafik's tickets on most departures. Styrsöbolaget's timetables can be found here. By hopping on board one of these ferries, you will arrive at either Gothenburg's southern or northern archipelago.
