Grundsund is surrounded by beautiful nature, which invites you to wonderful walks. The Munkevisksleden which can lead you all the way to Stockevik and Fiskebäckkil. You can also, for example, follow the Skaftöleden, a 25-kilometer hiking trail that goes around the entire island and passes through various landscapes and sights. Or you can go to Gullholmen, a car-free island that is a nature reserve and one of Sweden's oldest fishing villages. Here you can walk along the narrow lanes, admire the picturesque houses and enjoy the view of the archipelago.

Bathing places

If you want to take a dip in the salty water, you have several swimming spots to choose from in Grundsund. You can, for example, swim at The Vigs or Skräddhålan's bathing place, where you swim from the rocks. There are lawns and picnic tables. When you get hungry, there are several restaurants in the area that serve good food and drinks. For example, you can visit Donuts & Seaweed, a popular restaurant located by the harbor with a large outdoor seating area. Here you can taste local specialties such as seafood soup, smoked prawns or a herring plate. Or you can try Pelles Smokehouse, a family-owned smokehouse that has a cafe and shop. Here you can buy fresh or smoked delicacies from the sea, or have coffee on homemade buns and cakes.

Here you can visit Havets Hus, an aquarium that shows over 100 different species from the North Sea, or go shopping, the cinema or an amusement park.

Or you can go to Fiskebäckskil, which is another fishing village on Skaftö that has a livelier nightlife.
