Hike in Smögen
Smögen has for many years been a popular place to visit for both boaters and tourists who come by car. Smögen offers several different tours that can suit different interests.
Inside the community, it's nice to stroll to see one of the West Coast's most famous seaside resorts. You will experience both new and old. If you start at the square, the intersection of Storgatan and Fiskhamnsgatan. Then walk down Fiskhamnsgatan all the way down to the harbour. there you turn right and then enter the "Smögenbryggan". Walk along the entire Smögenbryggan, which then ends long into the harbor. There you go up some stairs. You will now come up on Klevenvägen. There you can choose to go left and then you will come to the other side of the harbor basin. There are nice restaurants there and a nice view towards Hållö. But, you have to go the same way back then, on Klevenvägen. If you instead choose right, then you continue that way and go until the road builds its name to Brunnsgatan. You continue on and eventually you are back at your starting point. If you complete this tour, you will have passed lots of restaurants, shops, people, boats and very nice nature. Feel free to end your tour at one of the many restaurants available.
Do you wish to have a hike that is more in nature and out among the rocks. Then there is a very nice trail that lies almost directly to the right when you come over the bridge that takes you over to Smögen from Kungshamn. Take courage Sand Island. See my post from our hiking trip where. It takes about 1-2 hours and you can stop and swim on the way if you want.
Another tip to be made is to go to the more western parts of Smögen when looking for parking. There are usually more free parking spaces and you can also easily get to the "other side" of the popular "Smögenbryggan". There has been a lot of construction there in recent years and there are many restaurants on offer. But, before that, you can get out on the rocks in several places, to walk on the rocks or take a swim. Hållö lies to the west. Bohuslän's Pearl DISCOVER in Bohuslän
