Fjällbacka hike to the top of Kungsklyftan

Fjällbacka is beautifully located at the edge of the sea, with its small islands scattered in front of it. Then it might be a good idea to get to the top of the mountain behind Fjällbacka centre, which you can do through a shorter walk or hike.

This hike starts right in the center and begins rather dramatically with a steep staircase that leads into a large mountain gorge called Kungsklyftan. Incidentally, it is the one that the author Camilla Läckberg uses in one of her books, where she creates drama by finding a corpse there. Well, it is also a powerful feeling to walk in this Kungsklyftan.

After a short walk you are on the other side of the mountain. There you can choose to continue forward, or you can go up the stairs that are there. Those stairs lead you to the top of the mountain. From there you can view the whole of Fjällbacka.

As a curiosity, it can be mentioned that Kungsklyftan has also been used in the film Ronja Rövardotter.
